THE SYSTEMS

Let's take a look at some systems thinking...

These stories are full of systems. Physical, organizational, mental, and social systems complicate the stories in non-linear ways. That's why it is so hard to come up with clear and untangled "solutions". Each story is different and complex, but by looking at trends, we can start to see the big picture.

Now that we have the stories, how can we do we put them all together? What can we make out of stories, anti-stories, contradictions, trends, feedback loops and messy spaghetti that is the fragile discussion of early childhood mental and behavioral disability?

The most prominent form of resistance in these stories are their competing anti stories. So many different perspectives collide to create a pool of contradicting experiences, opinions and perspectives.

What we can do to untangle these is map it out. Look at social tendencies. Look at the reoccurring variables and how they feed or help the issues at hand. Determine where the leverage points for change are, and how we can combine perspective stories to create a tentatively, coherent narrative where we can see what we think.
